Brookfield Homes Hawai‘i welcomed over 100 visitors to the grand opening and blessing of their new 4-million dollar recreation Center located within the Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island of Hawai‘i
Brookfield Homes Hawaii, A&B Properties and Stanford Carr Development invited the public to an open house and blessing of their shared two-acre, recreational village which features an adult lap pool, free form lagoon family pool, two hot tub areas, gathering pavilion with full kitchen and b-b-q, a great lawn for outdoor activities and social events, an exercise hale with cardio and weight machines, free weights and locker rooms, a yoga lawn, and a sun deck with three shade palapas.
“We are extremely proud of the recreational center at KaMilo,” said Jeffrey Prostor, president of Brookfield Homes Hawai‘i. “We spent over $4 million to create a spectacular amenity that will not only become a showcase for the community but will also provide homeowners with one of the largest amenities along the Kohala coast.
The celebration was highlighted by a blessing from kahu Danny Akaka, who also inspired the name “KaMilo” for Brookfield’s neighborhood in the Mauna Lani Resort.
Along with over 100 guests, the open house was attended by Brookfield Homes Hawaii President, Jeff Prostor and A&B Properties Executive Vice President, Paul Halin. Cindy Stone, (R)S one of the realtors in attendance from Lava Rock Realty said, “I thought the blessing was very nice and tastefully done! What great support and turn out. It is so nice to see the community behind this endeavor.”
KaMilo is a private, gated enclave consisting of 137 homes (37 single-family and 100 paired homes) and a two-acre recreational village. The homes at KaMilo are distinguished by kama‘aina architecture and utilize naturally occurring materials. With six different floor plans that offer approximately 2,103 – 2,491 of living space, the neighborhood has been carefully planned to capture magnificent golf course and mountain views, with some select sites catching glimpses of the Pacific Ocean. Homes start in the $800,000’s.
