BROOKFIELD HOMES HAWAI'I RECEIVES BIA RENAISSANCE AWARD
HONOLULU (May 14) – Kama’aina-style architecture combined with natural materials earned Brookfield Homes Hawai‘i the Grand Award in the New Residential Division at this year’s Building Industry Association of Hawaii’s Renaissance Awards. Brookfield’s KaMilo Model Home at Mauna Lani Resort took top honors in the highly competitive category of New Residential Division, which includes homes priced from $750,001 to $2,000,000.
Designed and built as a community of second home for vacation and entertaining, KaMilo at Mauna Lani Resort captures a sense of place through the use of natural materials such as stone (not a standard feature – shown as an option in the model) and majestic ‘Ohi‘a posts and kama’aina architectural features including double-pitched roofs, exposed rafters and large open-air lanai. The model home that was entered for the competition also features an open floor plan that allows for indoor and outdoor living.
