HONOLULU (February 6, 2007) Making the honor roll at various schools, Brookfield Homes Hawai’i has expanded its successful Holomua (Succeed) Education Program, tripling the total number of schools it serves, as well as expanding the program from Kaua’i to O‘ahu and the Big Island. The Holomua Education Program grants the wishes of teachers for learning tools such as computer equipment and school supplies at select schools located near the company’s various neighborhoods.
“Brookfield Homes Hawai’i believes that being good stewards of the land means making a positive impact in our communities, which we hope to achieve through Holomua,” said President Jeffrey Prostor. “Teachers are making a real difference in the lives of our keiki, in turn, we’re hoping to make a difference for our teachers by providing them with resources to help our children succeed.”
Brookfield launched its Holomua Education Program in 2006 with Kalaheo Elementary School on Kaua’i and Wahiawa Middle School on O‘ahu. Additional new schools slated for 2007 gifting are Punana Leo O Kawaiaha‘o on O‘ahu, Koloa and Hanalei Elementary Schools on Kaua’i, and Waikoloa Elementary on the Big Island. Adds Prostor; “We see the program as an embodiment of Brookfield Homes Hawai’i's positive commitment to our Hawaiian community.”
